E-Revo vs Maxx Size Comparison
The Body
If you’re a beginner to The Traxxas RC cars world, you may be thinking that the Maxx is bigger than the E-Revo because you’re associating the little Maxx with Traxxas X-Maxx.
But, let me tell you. This is not the case! The surprise is that E-Revo is a little bigger than Traxxas Maxx!
The bodies of these 2 RC cars are so different. Traxxas Maxx has a truck body that looks aggressive and cool with all the great headlights that you can add after buying it.
On the other hand, Traxxas E-Revo is so similar to the body shape of the Rustler 4×4 VXL. It’s so aggressive, has a powerful look and big wheels!
The body of the E-Revo is longer than that of the Maxx. And when we say bigger wheels, wider and bigger body, you think that the E-Revo is so big.
However, when you compare E-Revo vs Maxx, they have almost the same height. And this is because the body of E-Revo is closer to the ground than the Maxx’s body.
But don’t worry, being closer to the ground means more stability and speed. While being higher means a great off-roading ability.
Nevertheless, these bodies have their own weaknesses. A closer body to the ground means that it can be exposed to the off-roading rocks and mud, which is the case for Traxxas E-Revo.
A higher body might not have this problem. But it surely has a problem with aggressive acceleration in which the front wheels get off the ground.

On the other hand, Traxxas E-Revo is not only different than the baby X-Maxx, but it is different than all Traxxas RC cars.
The organization and the system by which the chassis of this RC is different. It has even a horizontal suspension. And this is the main reason why it has a low center of gravity (Close to the ground).

As I said earlier, there are some differences when it comes to the performance of those Traxxas Monsters. These differences are made because of a lot of factors like weight, the shape as well as the internal parts.
When it comes to weight, Traxxas E-Revo has more weight that is 1.5 lbs. more than the Maxx. This extra weight will impact of course the jumping of this RC car, and maybe harder to control.
However, this weight is covered by some other strong parts. Some of these parts are the Velineon® 2200kV Brushless Motor, the VXL-6s™ Waterproof Electronic Speed Control, and the double batteries like the X-Maxx.
The combination between these parts as well as others is enough to compensate for the extra weight this car has. And let me tell you this… This E-Revo can reach out to 70mph, which is more than the max speed of the Traxxas Maxx.
This doesn’t mean that Traxxas Maxx is weaker or slower. On the contrary, it has also its own performance and characteristics. Speed isn’t everything.

Traxxas Maxx is simpler when it comes to built-in parts. It is easier to upgrade it and modify what you want.

To be honest, I don’t see much difference between both cars. For me, the most important things those cars are the body shape, the weight, and the volume. Because these 3 factors can make you love buying these RC cars or regret buying them.
Personally, in this E-Revo vs Maxx comparison, I prefer Traxxas E-Revo. First because of its shape, being close to the ground, the big wheels (I love that), and it has a different chassis than the others which makes it special and different.
