Actually, these RC monsters can reach some serious speeds that regular cars reach on the highway! That’s insane, especially that it’s coming from such small-scale Traxxas RC trucks.

But, these Traxxas RC trucks can’t run at these speeds right out of the box! There are some parts that should be changed and added.

And these parts are the Lipo battery that you should add depending on the type of truck you have.

Also, the part that you should change is the pinion gear and the Spur gear.

These parts are so important to reach such speeds!

Ps. We don’t recommend going reaching these speeds or even trying for beginners. That may cause really serious injuries!

Traxxas E-Revo: +70mph (One Of The Fastest Traxxas RC Trucks)

If you’re familiar with Traxxas RC Trucks, you’ll definitely what the E-Revo is. To be brief, it’s a wide beast!

Traxxas E-Revo is not only one of the best-looking Traxxas RC Trucks. But also one of the highest performing trucks.

Ans this is due to its different shape than its peers. In fact, it is so wide with big wheels, a brushless motor, and waterproof internal parts.

This monster truck can do anything you want him to do. From climbing, speeding, and even attracting people and bragging in front of your friends by its look!

What’s special about Traxxas E-Revo also is its different structure than the other Traxxas RC trucks. For example, most Traxxas RC trucks have their shocks vertical.

However, for Traxxas E-Revo (and Summit also), the shocks are horizontal. It’s called “Advanced In-Board Suspension” to increase performance.

The second different thing is the double battery! Traxxas E-Revo has double batteries? And in order to reach the speed of +70 mph, you need two 3s Lipo batteries!

In addition to all this, this huge speed of +70 mph is hard to reach without having some systems in place that help you reach it!

For example, there is the TSM that is so useful when it comes to keeping your RC truck under control.

Also, there is the self-righting system and the Traxxas Link that allow you to have a funnier driving experience!

Traxxas E-Revo comes in two versions. The 1/10 scale, and the 1/16 scale. They have the same characteristics except for the size.

If you’d like to know more about the E-Revo, you can check our full in-depth review about it from here.

Or you can just go and grab one to experience the speed of this beast. Here is the button:

Traxxas Stampede 2WD VXL: +65 mph

Traxxas Stampede: One of the fastest traxxas rc trucks

Well, that might be surprising a little bit. But yes! Traxxas Stampede 2WD VXL is one of the fastest Traxxas RC trucks with a speed of +65mph.

I know that a lot of people will be surprised by this news. And this is because we’re used to seeing Traxxas Stampede as that cheap RC car that we compare usually to Traxxas Slash.

But what a lot of people don’t pay attention to is the fact that Traxxas Stampede comes with a lot of versions from the 2WD brushed version to the strongest one which is the Stampede 4×4 VXL!

Another surprise is that Traxxas Stampede 2WD VXL is faster than the 4×4 VXL. That’s not what is supposed to be! But it is.

On the other hand, Traxxas Stampede 4×4 VXL isn’t that far. In fact, it can reach up to +60mph. So, there is no big difference between both.

You can reach that speed by adding a 3s Lipo battery.

However, there is a difference when it comes to other factors than speed. For example, when it comes to crawling, Traxxas 4×4 VXL would definitely win!

And the reason is: It’s a 4×4!

Also, the other advantage the 4×4 VXL has is the self-righting system. This system requires the 4WD version in order to work properly.

Other than that, both versions have the same features. Except for the internal structure. There is a big difference!

What’s special in Traxxas Rustler 4×4 is how close its shape is to the E-Revo. With that low center of gravity and wide body in addition to the wide wheels, you don’t need to worry about this Traxxas RC Truck at this high speed.

The systems also play a big role when it comes to the stability and the handling of this RC Truck. It has the TSM and the Self-Righting System!

To reach the +65 mph mark, you need the 3s Lipo battery. However, all you need is one. Not two!

Other than the high speed, Traxxas Rustler 4×4 VXL is known as well for its high jumps and easy control in the air.

It’s a perfect RC car if you want something in medium size with superpower abilities!

Traxxas Maxx: +60 mph

We can say that Traxxas Maxx is the most famous Traxxas RC truck you can have!

This is because of its perfection and balance in the different metrics. It’s true that it’s not the fastest, and you may be surprised about that.

Unlike the E-Revo, Traxxas Maxx has just one battery holder, and in order to reach the +60 mph, you need the 6s Lipo battery and the optional gearing that you should change.

Nevertheless, it will reach just +55 mph without the optional gearing.

Other than the speed, Traxxas Maxx is almost the perfect RC truck among all of these on our list. Why? Because it has a perfect size, the perfect speed, and the perfect performance!

That’s what makes it one of the most popular Traxxas RC trucks despite being a little expensive. But, it’s worth it after all!

Also, Traxxas Maxx comes with all the systems that we talked about earlier including the TSM and the Self-Righting.

It does come also with special upgrades like the WideMaxx kit. This upgrade adds an extra 20 mm to the width of your RC truck!

Traxxas Hoss is the most badass Traxxas RC truck. It is the first competitor of the Traxxas Maxx!

Traxxas Hoss is also a brushless RC truck with a powerful motor ad ESC.

It has about the same shape as the Maxx but with smaller dimensions. However, they don’t have the same platform.

To reach this enormous speed, all you have to do is add a 3s Lipo battery to this Traxxas RC Truck. And you’re ready to go!

Also, Traxxas Hoss has the same systems as the Maxx (You can see our full comparison between the Hoss and the Maxx).

Other than the speed, Traxxas Summit has some exclusive features. And some of them are the cage covering the whole body, the super big wheels. The great feature of all these is the 10 headlights that come stock with this RC crawler.
