Having a Traxxas RC car doesn’t always mean a truck. There is more than that: Rally Cars! And today, we have the Traxxas Ford Fiesta.
Traxxas RC cars are so special and powerful. However, there are more RC trucks than RC cars like the X-Maxx, the Stampede, and the Slash.
Well not everybody loves big trucks and not everybody loves supercars. There are other people who love Rally cars!
And if you’re dreaming about driving a rally car one day, don’t worry! Traxxas has given you the opportunity to get the Traxxas Ford Fiesta.
As you know, Rally cars are so much fun, and today, I will review this little beast to see if it is worth it or not!

Traxxas Ford Fiesta Design
The body
After reviewing the Latrax Rally and Teton, which are Rally cars. I was shocked because those things were so small in proportion to the Traxxas’ normal RC cars.
After seeing that, I thought that all Rally cars produced by Traxxas and Latrax are so small.
However, seeing the Traxxas Fiesta changed completely my opinion. This RC car is so big! And this is something I like a lot about it!
In addition to that, the high-quality design, the big spoiler, the black wheels, and the low center gravity chassis. All these things make this RC car look like a beast.

The Chassis
After leaving the body of this Traxxas Fiesta, you’ll find the chassis of course!
Basically, it’s the same platform as Slash and Stampede. However, there are always some differences since these RC cars are RC trucks while the Traxxas Fiesta is a Rally RC car!
The first thing you would notice when you buy this beast is how close it is to the ground! It is so close that when you drive it, you can hear the body touching the ground.
The chassis of the Traxxas Ford Fiesta has also some RC supercars features like the big front bumper existing in the Mustang and the XO-1.
On the other hand, the rest of the chassis is the same as the Slash’s one. This is including of course the all waterproof parts and the oil-filled ultra-shocks.
I love also the rear small bumper. It is true that it looks small, but it provides so much protection to the chassis from crashes.
When it comes to the wheels, they’re really special, and they look so powerful. Well, this is what to expect in a car from Traxxas!

The Performance Of Traxxas Ford Fiesta
When it comes to performance, Traxxas Ford Fiesta is so great!
With its Titan® 12-turn 550 modified motor, its Powerful XL-5 waterproof electronic speed control. It can reach a normal top speed.
But don’t let this turn you off, because after all, this is a rally RC car. It’s not made for speed and drag racing.
If you want a racing RC car, you can go with the stingray, the Mustang, or even the XO-1.
A Rally RC car is built for different missions like drifting and driving in twisty off-roads!
However, there is always room for improvement. And actually, this RC beast is built brushless and ready for easy upgrade to Velineon® power. This means that you can fit a whole brushless motor in there!
Not only that, but you can upgrade the pinion gear as well as the spur gear together to add more speed and acceleration! Isn’t that great?
Now, you don’t have to worry about having a slow rally RC car. You’ll own a perfect car.
The battery also has a big role in improving the performance of this Ford Fiesta. All you need to do is to add a 2s Lipo battery and you’re ready to go!
So, despite not having super special stock parts, Traxxas Ford Fiesta is able to be upgraded and improved to be a supercar able to reach more than 30mph!

What I don’t like about the Traxxas Ford Fiesta
More Stock Power
It’s true that we can upgrade the stock Fiesta. However, having a strong stock RC car gives a good first impression about it. Especially that this RC car isn’t that cheap!
No TSM
With an RC car at such a price, you’d expect to have a TSM. But unfortunately, there is none of it.
But actually, you don’t need really a TSM because the goal of this Rally car is drifting and not racing. And secondly, it doesn’t have a high speed, and it’s easy to control!
BUT again, this doesn’t stop the fact that Traxxas can add a TSM with a, ON/OFF button to turn it on or off. This way, you can turn it on whenever you want.
Things I like About The Traxxas Fiesta
It’s a 4WD!
Honestly, I didn’t expect that this car comes with a 4WD system. But, actually, it does come with a 4WD system to give you the best performance possible on track as well as off-road.
The design
Traxxas has literally killed it when it comes to the design of this RC car. I can say that this is the best replica I’ve ever seen in the Traxxas RC car.

Traxxas Ford Fiesta Upgrades
The upgrades feature is one of the best things I like about this Rally beast!
There is a big room for upgrades in this RC car. You can change everything you want. You can even upgrade the motor from brushed to brushless, the gears, and the suspension system as well.
All you have to do is to be creative!
Here are some parts that you can change and upgrade in your Ford:
- The body: You can have another painted body.
- Brushless motor: This is one of the most important upgrades that you can have. It will change your RC car 180 degrees!
- The Pinion Gear: Increase your top speed with the pinion gear. This will be so much fun!
Final Judgement
Despite having some downsides, Traxxas Ford Fiesta is still one of the best Rally RC cars on the market. Especially with its ability to be tunned and upgraded!
With that Traxxas Fiesta, you can build your own RC car and be proud of it in front of your friends.
